Cered ‘Joio Mas Draw’ (Fun Time) Sessions – November and December 2017
Cered will be holding fun sessions for children aged 0-4 in the next few weeks in Borth and Cardigan. The sessions are free, for little ones with their parent or childminder. Working with Borth Family Centre and Jig-So Children’s Centre, there will be some singing, dancing, creative play and a free copy of the new bilingual ‘Pi-po Cyw’ book for every child who attends the sessions.
There will be 4 sessions each in Borth and Cardigan:
Borth – Wednesdays – November 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th. 1pm to 2pm.
Borth Family Centre, Clarach Road, Borth, SY24 5LW.
Cardigan – Mondays – November 13th, 20th, 27th and December 4th. 2pm to 3pm.
Jig-So Family Centre, Pwllhai, Cardigan, SA43 1DB.
“Joio Mas Draw is something new and exciting for Cered, a chance for us to work with organisations which provide child care in Ceredigion,” said Owain Llŷr, Senior Development Officer at Cered. “We’d like kids to get a chance to experience the Welsh language and have fun, to play and socialise. It’s also a chance for parents and childminders to meet people.
“Jig-So and Borth Family Centre contacted us, and it will be great to work with them. They understand that introducing the Welsh language to kids early on in their lives is important. The sessions will be mainly through the medium of Welsh, but everyone is welcome. You don’t have to speak Welsh to take part. We’ll explain every activity bilingually. There is a warm welcome to any children aged 0-4. Pop by for an hour of fun with your little one…
“This is a chance for parents to see what’s available at the centres, and children who come to the sessions in the Jig-so Family Centre will be able to enjoy the new ‘sensory room.’”
Cered is the Welsh Language Initiative for Ceredigion, promoting and supporting the Welsh language in our communities.
